Gwyn Prosser MP has been a regular visitor to Buckland Press over the years and used his speech to welcome this important step and praise the management of Buckland Press for making such a significant investment in its business and the local community.

Buckland Press has been based at its current freehold site since the 1960's, whilst the company itself is over 100 years old. The firm has always taken a proactive approach to adopting new technology. For example the new press, which is capable of printing an impressive 15,000 sheets per hour, complements existing in-house systems which enable artwork to be sent straight from computer to plate without the need for producing colour-separated films.
The event was also attended by Buckland Press customers, local press, staff and a representative from Heidelberg, the suppliers. Many of the team at Buckland Press have been with the company for some time, in some cases over 40 years. Chief Executive, Jeremy Weaver praised their commitment to adapting to the new technology and was enthusiastic about the impact the new press will have on the business: |
